Senior Mechanical Engineer - #AM3260
6+ months Merrmick NH US Citzen
The individual selected for this position will be a skilled, hands-on, mechanical engineer with diverse technical capabilities to lead and execute mechanical design and development work on small projects, proposals, or research efforts. Individual must possess strong mechanical engineering skills. Experience is preferred in electro-mechanical mechanisms, thermal and vibration qualification testing, electronic packaging, and integrated sensor assemblies fit for military environments and applications.
This position requires the ability to perform professional technical work, which is complex in nature and requires broad knowledge and wide application of mechanical engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices and techniques used to meet allocated program/system requirements. Performing basic thermal and vibration stress analysis is required. Experienced with Pro-E Wildfire is a plus.
The selected candidate will be a self-motivated team player that is proven to be effective in a fast paced multi-disciplinary technical environment. This individual will also possess strong oral and written communication skills
Specific responsibilities include: Lead small design & development projects. Responsible for achievement of schedule, cost and technical requirements. Direct and supervise the work of drafting designers and support personnel as assigned. Take ownership and responsibility for the product design. Create conceptual designs, assess risks, conduct design trade studies, and develop cost effective products that meet the program requirements for packaging systems in airborne, shipboard and ground-based environments.
This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited College and a minimum of five (5) years work experience, Or a Masters Degree and three (3) years experience.
